The Keys to Successful Learning
Routine.
Consistency.
A learning program that meets their individual needs.
Appropriate accommodations and modifications.
Learning opportunities that incorporate their interests, are engaging and culturally responsive.
Providing opportunities for children to make meaning and connections to their learning.

As mentioned above, the first two keys to successful learning are routine and consistency. Routine and consistency influence a child's emotional, cognitive and social development. These components help children gain an understanding of everyday events and procedures which help them develop many important learning skills such as responsibility and independence.

During the last several months, many of us parents may have realized how important these two components are to their child's growth and development. As schools closed down, our children's behaviours started to change. As parents, we had started to work from home as we tried to manage and balance our busy work schedules, parenting schedules and teaching schedules for our children's online learning platforms. Our world had took a turn, but is slowly getting back to normal.

Maintaining routine and consistency are essential components to successful learning. As we enter into the summer months, children have completed the remainder of the school year using online learning platforms. As many camps and extra curricular activities are nonexistent at the moment due to the pandemic, there are not many opportunities for children to participate in activities that include this form of routine and consistency that will assist with their educational growth.

At Learn, Grow and Succeed we focus on the importance of routine and consistency as we provide engaging and culturally responsive learning opportunities for children to revisit past or future learning content to prepare them for their upcoming school year.

Participating in one of our summer programs will not only provide a sense of routine and consistency that benefit your child's behaviour and development, but also prepare them for their upcoming school year.
